#tbt Throw Back Thursday - old pots and idols

These pots are from about 15 years ago, after I had discovered George Ohr (who influences me still!) and was a time when my pottery making changed drastically.  I was inspired by his work to push the clay to the very point at which it would not stand anymore, and this helped me learn the boundaries of how thin I could make my pots.  I do not still make pots that look like this very often but I love having the reminder around my studio.
